Privacy Policy

Terms and Usage
Calcora is a scientific calculator built for everyday arithmetic and advanced math, with local history, offline-first evaluation, and settings that stay on your device without developer collection or third-party analytics.
Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the Calcora mobile application developed by Mikael Tenshio.

Calcora includes:

  • Standard calculator mode for everyday arithmetic
  • Scientific calculator mode with trigonometry, inverse trig, logs, roots, powers, constants, factorials, percentages, and Ans memory
  • Local calculation history with search, filters, reuse, copy, delete, and clear actions
  • Settings for theme, angle unit, decimal precision, vibration, sound preference, and history visibility
  • First-launch onboarding plus copy-to-clipboard actions for results and history

Calcora does not require account registration, use a developer-run backend, or upload your calculations. Core expression evaluation runs locally in the app. The current Android build is designed to work without Internet permission and without analytics, ads, crash reporting, or third-party data-collection services.

Information Stored Locally

Calcora may store limited app data in app-private storage on your device so the calculator feels consistent between sessions.

  • Settings such as theme mode, angle unit, decimal precision, vibration, sound preference, and history visibility
  • An onboarding flag that tracks whether the welcome screen has already been dismissed
  • Calculation history entries when history is enabled, including expressions, results, selected calculator mode, and a time label

In the app, history is kept to a local on-device list of up to 100 saved calculations. Active expression input, preview values, and the current answer state are also handled locally while you use the app.

This information is used only to support Calcora on your device. It is not collected by the developer, uploaded to a server, sold, or shared by Calcora.

Clipboard and Device Features

Calcora includes user-triggered convenience features that stay tied to your device.

  • Copy actions place a result or history entry into your device clipboard only when you tap copy
  • Optional vibration feedback can use the device vibration API when supported and enabled by you
  • The app listens for keyboard input while the calculator screen is active so you can type expressions directly on supported devices

Calcora does not collect clipboard contents. If you paste, share, or copy content into another app, that action is controlled by you and happens outside Calcora.

No Data Collection or Third-Party Services

Calcora does not collect personal data, calculation expressions, results, history, settings, clipboard contents, identifiers, analytics events, crash logs, or advertising data for the developer.

Calcora does not use Google Analytics for Firebase, advertising SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, developer-run analytics, or a developer-operated cloud database.

No third-party online service is required for calculator operation, and Calcora does not sell, rent, or share user data.

Permissions and Platform Access
  • No Internet permission - the current Android app is built without requesting Internet access for calculator features
  • Local storage - used on your device to keep settings, onboarding state, and local history
  • Clipboard access - used only when you choose a copy action
  • Vibration feedback - used only when supported by the device and enabled in settings

Calcora does not require camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, SMS, call log, calendar, broad media-library, or network permissions for its current calculator features.

Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored Calcora data remains on the device until you delete it from within the app, clear browser or app storage, or uninstall the app.

  • You can delete individual history entries or clear the full saved history from inside Calcora
  • Settings and onboarding state remain local until storage is cleared or the app is removed
  • Because Calcora does not collect or upload app data, there is no developer-side account, cloud profile, or analytics record to delete

Uninstalling the app or clearing its local storage removes locally stored calculator data from that installation. If Android device backup or restore is enabled, restored local data is controlled by your device backup settings.

Children's Privacy

Calcora is not directed to children under 13. Since Calcora does not collect personal information, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
