This Privacy Policy applies to the DayNest mobile application developed by Mikael Tenshio.

DayNest is designed as a personal countdown planner that helps you track upcoming and completed milestones without requiring a user account for its core experience.

DayNest focuses on local event storage, calendar and statistics views, optional reminder notifications, and an Android home-screen widget that highlights your next countdown.

The developer does not collect or receive your DayNest event data, and the app does not use advertising identifiers, ads, analytics, or third-party tracking SDKs.

database Data Collection

DayNest does not collect personal data for the developer and does not upload your countdowns, notes, categories, preferences, reminders, widget data, or usage activity to a developer-managed server.

The app stores the information needed to create and manage your countdowns locally on your device.

• Event details you enter, such as title, note, date, time, category, icon, color, reminder timing, and repeat settings
• App state such as upcoming and completed event lists, search filters, and onboarding status
• Local preferences including display name, theme mode, date format, time format, reminder settings, and sound preferences
• A lightweight widget summary derived from your next upcoming event so the Android widget can show a title, subtitle, count, and deep-link path

This local app storage is not developer data collection. It is stored on your device so DayNest can provide its countdown, reminder, calendar, statistics, and widget features.

DayNest does not require account registration, passwords, or profile syncing to use its core countdown features.

DayNest is not designed to collect your contacts, photos, microphone input, camera input, or precise location for normal app use.

DayNest does not access, request, use, or collect the Android Advertising ID.

lock Local Storage and Security

DayNest stores countdown data locally using app-private on-device storage and Android widget or reminder preferences where applicable.

Notification schedules and widget summaries are derived from your locally stored event data on the device rather than from a required cloud account.

Because the app is local-first, someone with access to your unlocked device may be able to view your countdown details and settings.

DayNest does not present DayNest as a guaranteed encrypted backup or secure cloud vault product.

data_exploration Permissions Used

DayNest requests only the permissions needed for visible product features.

• Notifications - Used for local reminder alerts before your event and event-day notifications on supported Android devices
• Receive boot completed - Used to restore local reminder behavior after a device restart or app update where supported

DayNest does not request Internet, Advertising ID, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or media, or precise location permissions for standard countdown tracking.

delete Data Retention and Deletion

Your locally stored DayNest data remains on the device until you change or remove it.

• You can edit or delete countdown events inside the app
• You can update or clear local profile and preference values on the device
• You can clear app data or uninstall the app to remove app-managed local storage, subject to your device platform behavior

Because DayNest does not currently require a cloud account or backup service for its core workflow, deleted local data may not be recoverable after it is removed.

cloud_off Advertising, Analytics, and Third-Party Services

DayNest does not use developer-managed user accounts, cloud sync, advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, social tracking pixels, or third-party tracking services.

DayNest does not show ads, does not use the Android Advertising ID, and does not collect identifiers for advertising, profiling, analytics, or measurement.

DayNest may still rely on Android, notification delivery systems, widget-host behavior, deep-link handling, and app-store infrastructure so the app can install and run on supported devices. Those platform services are controlled by their own providers and are not developer-operated analytics or tracking services inside DayNest.

If DayNest ever adds analytics, cloud backup, advertising, online accounts, or other external integrations, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those features are represented as part of the app's data practices.

Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the DayNest application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

Use of the App

DayNest is provided as a countdown and milestone-planning tool for lawful personal use. You agree not to misuse the app, interfere with its operation, or represent it as providing guarantees that it does not actually offer.

Notifications and Widget Behavior

Some DayNest features depend on Android platform behavior outside the developer's direct control.

• Reminder delivery may be affected by notification permissions, battery settings, manufacturer restrictions, or device clock differences
• The home-screen widget reflects locally stored upcoming-event summary data and may not refresh immediately if the operating system limits background updates
• Deep links opened from notifications or the widget depend on supported device and launcher behavior

Local Data Responsibility

Because DayNest is designed around local device storage, you are responsible for your own device security, backup habits, and deletion decisions.

The developer is not responsible for countdown loss caused by device failure, uninstallation, app-data clearing, shared-device access, or user-initiated edits and deletions.

Service Limitations

DayNest is intended to help you remember and organize important dates, but it is not an emergency-alert service, a guaranteed calendar-sync platform, or a safety-critical scheduling product.

Reminder timing, repeat behavior, widget behavior, and deep-link handling may change based on operating-system updates, device settings, and future app revisions.

Limitation of Liability

DayNest is provided on an as is and as available basis, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer, as creator of the app, shall not be liable for missed events, delayed or failed notifications, inaccurate countdowns, widget or deep-link behavior, lost countdown data, device settings, battery restrictions, or any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive losses or damages arising from or related to your use of, reliance on, or inability to use DayNest.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited, including rights that cannot be excluded under consumer protection, product liability, or other applicable laws.

Changes to These Terms

These terms and the accompanying privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of DayNest after an update means you accept the revised version.
