This Privacy Policy applies to the Limitly mobile application developed by Mikael Tenshio. Limitly is designed as a personal digital wellbeing tool for reviewing screen time, setting app limits, and reflecting on focus sessions.

Limitly is built to keep your usage data local to your device. The current Android app does not declare Internet permission and does not include Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, Crashlytics, or a developer-operated analytics service. It is not presented as a hidden monitoring product, spyware tool, or guaranteed app blocking solution.

database Local Data, No Developer Collection

Limitly reads and stores the information needed to show your usage insights and support the features you configure inside the app. This information stays on your device unless you choose to export or back it up to a location you control.

• Daily app usage summaries and app-level screen-time totals from Android
• App limits, focus-session records, and dashboard history shown in the app
• Preferences such as theme mode, warning style, onboarding state, and notifications
• Local export, backup, notification, and widget-related records

Limitly does not require account creation, passwords, or a personal profile to use its core features. Mikael Tenshio does not collect or receive your usage history, app limits, focus sessions, local backups, exported files, or settings through a developer server.

The app is not designed to collect your contacts, photos, messages, microphone input, or precise location for its normal digital wellbeing features.

lock Local Storage and Security

Limitly stores usage-related data and settings on the device. The current app experience is local-first rather than account-based, and automatic Android app backup is disabled in the current manifest.

Exports and backups are created locally only when you choose a destination through Android's document picker. They are not uploaded to a developer service.

Because the app relies on device-local storage, people who can access your unlocked device may also be able to view information shown inside the app.

Limitly is designed to avoid abusive surveillance patterns, but no consumer app can promise perfect security against every device-level threat, shared-device scenario, or operating-system issue.

data_exploration Permissions Used

Limitly requests only the permissions needed for visible app features.

• Usage Access - Lets Android share app usage statistics so Limitly can show screen-time history and app-level activity
• Notifications - Used for limit reminders, local warnings, and focus-session alerts
• Accessibility Service - Optional, used for selected app blocking during limits or focus sessions; it identifies the currently open app and is configured not to retrieve screen content
• Receive Boot Completed - Used to restore local reminders, focus timers, widgets, and limit checks after the device restarts

The current manifest does not declare Internet permission, camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, SMS, or call-log permissions.

delete Data Retention and Deletion

Your data remains on the device until you decide to remove it.

• You can delete local data from the app settings
• You can reset onboarding when you want to restart the setup experience
• You can uninstall the app to remove app-managed local data from the device

Because Limitly does not use a developer account or cloud backup for its core functionality, deleted local data may not be recoverable after removal unless you previously created your own local export or backup.

cloud_off Third-Party Services

The current Limitly experience does not use developer-managed user accounts, Internet permission, Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, Crashlytics, advertising SDKs, cloud sync, or a developer backend for collecting your personal usage data.

Limitly may still depend on Android system services, device notification systems, app-store infrastructure, and other platform components needed to install and run the app.

If future versions add cloud sync, external analytics, crash reporting, ads, or third-party integrations, this privacy page should be updated to reflect those changes before release.

Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the Limitly application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

Use of the App

Limitly is provided as a digital wellbeing tool for lawful personal use. You agree not to misuse the app, attempt unauthorized access, or represent it as offering capabilities that it does not actually provide.

Permissions and Platform Behavior

Some Limitly features depend on Android permissions and device behavior outside the developer's direct control.

• Usage Access must be granted manually before app usage can be read
• Notification delivery may be affected by battery settings or device restrictions
• Operating-system changes may affect how usage data is reported over time

Focus and Limit Disclaimer

Limitly is intended to support awareness and reflection. It may warn you, track interruptions, and highlight app limits, but it does not promise hard blocking, guaranteed distraction prevention, or clinical outcomes.

You should not rely on Limitly as a parental-control substitute, emergency tool, medical service, or safety-critical product.

Local Data Responsibility

Because Limitly is designed around local storage, you are responsible for your own device security, optional export or backup habits, and deletion decisions.

The developer is not responsible for losses caused by device failure, shared-device access, uninstallation, operating-system restrictions, or user-initiated data deletion.

Limitation of Liability

Limitly is provided on an as is and as available basis, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer, as creator of the app, shall not be liable for missed limits, focus-session interruptions, inaccurate screen-time records, notification or app-blocking issues, digital-wellbeing decisions, data loss, device issues, or any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive losses or damages arising from or related to your use of, reliance on, or inability to use Limitly.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited, including rights that cannot be excluded under consumer protection, product liability, or other applicable laws.

Changes to These Terms

These terms and the accompanying privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Limitly after an update means you accept the revised version.
